The ribs were delicious and falling off the bone. Whoever made the ribs is heaven sent. The brisket was tender. I recommend the brisket sandwich plain so you can really get the taste of the meat. Will stop here any time I'm in Uvalde.

My first time back to Evett's in 25 years. The brisket and potato salad were the same and did not disappoint. The menu is just the right size. Rnjoy

Amazing brisket and super fast service. My girlfriend and I were in and out in less than 30 minutes. Great barbecue, Texas style. The staff were a little less than friendly, but I gotta tell ya, they are busting their rumps behind that counter! I'd take awesome BBQ and their attitudes over crappy food and perfect staff any day. Not to say they weren't nice, but they were busy! Five stars for food quality, five stars for their effort! Only drawback is no bathroom... after barbecue that good, a man needs to wash his hands lol

Went here because it was listed where locals eat. I had the sliced brisket plate my ordered ribs. What i got was more like shrreded beef and fat no slices. A small serving of coke slaw and pinto beans. Not impressed.

OMG, got the brisket sandwich (chopped). It was yummy. The Spanish rice was seasoned just right. Friendly, helpful staff & easy parking. I shall return!

If you want to eat barbecue in Uvalde, Evett's is the place any local will recommend. Their brisket is the best in the area, and the Frito pie is a favorite here. Where the sides are lacking, the meat definitely makes up for it. There are currently no public restrooms, but the restaurant is undergoing a remodel for more room...

Ordered a full brisket, sliced, to go for a luncheon and to say it was sad is an understatement. Thick cuts, with the grain and untrimmed, and no flavor. Called in to let the staff know and they pretty much told me "oh well, you still have to pay for it." If I could give negative stars for customer service, I would.But you know, everyone has an off day. Decided to give them another shot with these ribs I keep hearing about. Nope. Missed again. Tough and no flavor. To each their own, but I wont be back.

Had ribs and brisket. One piece of brisket was excellent, but the other was bit dry and chewy. The ribs were decent, but not something I would go out of my way for. Fantastic service from a couple of hard workers. Solid sides and decent sauce. I'm a tough grader and would give this a 6/10. Decent food and good service.

Just ate with a friend from Michigan at Evetts in Uvalde Tx. Brisket was worth the drive from San Antonio, it fell a part as you try to pick it up with your fork. Juicy and tender, sauce was original and seemed to have some brisket droppings for added flavor, mixed with some sweet smoke hint just right. Great brisket. However, sausage was not as juicy and although it had cheese and jalapenos it was not spicy and could have been hotter, nah. It was Meh. The potato salad was sweet but again had taken sweet touch of similar flavor in brisket sauce....... maybe too much sweet.... Spanish rice TO DIE FOR, FLAKY TENDER MOIST PERFECT SEASONING...... bread fresh, fresh hot flavored jalapenos and clean and fully stocked drink bar...... there u go. I will go back and try ribs, pulled pork, and chicken. I hear they are as good as the brisket

Good, but not great. I love good Texas barbecue. This was pretty bland. No spice at all, and not much flavor. I've had better in my hometown in California, but the people who own that restaurant are from Texas.

Evetts is by far the best barbecue I have eaten in Texas. Ribs and brisket are superb. Worth the drive no matter where you live.

Best bbq in region

I recommend the ribs, some of the best I've had. The brisket and sausage are also respectable. The sauce matches well with the meat. The potato salad is a bit too sweet and the beans are almost afterthought as they lack any type of seasoning whatsoever.

Best bar-b-que in town, brisket and ribs are super tender I would recommend this place to everyone.
